Dear SLUNAAI Homecoming Attendee: 

As the COVID-19 anxiety continues to sweep the nation and the world, please know that SLUNAAI is doing its due diligence in monitoring updates being issued by the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Prevention, and the Unites States government. We take this pandemic situation seriously and we have been conducting regular meetings with the SLUNAAI Executive Board and the Philippine Nurses Association of America (PNAA). We have been assessing how this situation will affect our organization’s upcoming Inaugural Grand Alumni Homecoming scheduled on July 3-5, 2020 in San Diego, California.

As an organization, we recognize the risks of large gatherings to public health. We know that the situation is fluid and can change rapidly. We are aware that as professionals, we are trained and prepared to handle this type of outbreak. Given the current spirit during this challenging times, we ask for everyone to be vigilant and stay safe.  Let us hope for the best as the situation continues to unfold and please stay tuned. We are continuously monitoring the news and updates from the local and national health agencies as well as the United States government before we make any final decision for our Grand Alumni Homecoming.

SLUNAAI Logo Design Contest Rules:

• Design Criteria
• 1. Integrate the color pink
  2. Include the context/theme of being an international nursing organization
  3. Incorporate a depiction of Baguio City
• Post your entries into the SLUNAAI Closed Group Photo Album named Logo Design Contest
• Deadline for submission of entries is Jan 15, 2020
• Everyone in the SLUNAAI closed group is invited to look through the album and like their favorites.  We are allowed to like more than one logo
• The logo with the highest number of likes on Jan 31, 2020 wins.  In case of a tie, this date will be moved
• The Prize:
• 1. A full year of SLUNAAI Membership worth $50.00
  2. Bragging rights as designer of the SLUNAAI logo

Since its establishment in 1976, the SLU-School of Nursing with the leadership of the deans - Dr. Jesusa Lara, Madame Fatima Fangayen and Dr. Mary Grace Lacanaria, the increasing number of efficient and effective faculty and quality students have propelled the school to become one of the only six centers of excellence in nursing education in the Philippines and the only center of excellence in the Cordillera Administrative Region. The School of Nursing is always among the Top Ten Performing Schools in the Nursing Licensure Examination. It is a Level 3 institution accredited by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and continues to garner awards and recognition in the areas of research and extension,  academics, and social involvement. SLU-School of Nursing continues to soar high with its exemplary implementation of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing curriculum, masters and doctorate programs.
